Jinder Mahal is getting a big push in WWE because of the company touring India. Due to WWE's successful visit in 2016, WWE is scheduled to return to India in September of 2017 or maybe early. Last year at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi there were two shows took place. The stadium capacity is an over-14,000 seat, it is the largest stadium in India and one of the largest in Asia.

With all the hype of going back to India, WWE is potentially looking to keep this momentum going and bring Mahal to the arena as the WWE Champion. so at least for the next three or four months, Jinder Mahal will be the WWE Champion to keep the interest of WWE fans from India. Jinder Mahal will be champion throughout the summer means he will be also the champion in the second biggest pay-per-view of the year, SummerSlam.
